Building off of social media, Facebook is a great way to get more people to check out your site. Have you ever noticed that people just join groups because of the title? It doesn't matter what is in the group itself, as long as it has a funny title people will join. All you have to do is make a new group with a funny title that has something to do with your website and people will go see it. An example would be "Transformers could kick Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' butts!".

People think that's funny so they join and probably will never go there again, but if you just put your website along with it, a small percentage of those people will visit it. It doesn't have to have anything to do with Transformers. You could sell color copies and still link it with a cartoon from the 1980s because nobody really cares. Let the viral marketing commence after that.

Social Bookmarking

The final tip is to bookmark it on sites such as Digg, Stumbleupon, and Reddit. There are 1 million of them that you can bookmark with so the more you do, the better chances you will have of getting more visitors. The trick is to favorite a lot of other people's stuff first. When they notice that you have saved their stuff, they will probably do the same for you even if they have no interest in it. They are just trying to be nice, but you get more visitors that way.

Social bookmarking has a habit of sending thousands of visitors to a website in only a few days if something goes viral. If you use this strategy just make sure that you have a server that can handle large surges in traffic.
