Here are five tips you can use to stop losing money and start being in the black.

Research

Some people are so excited to get started with something that they don't bother to take a few days to research it. If you want to sell items on eBay such as color copies, then by all means look at the items on eBay. Don't make a website whose category is overly saturated. The fact of the matter is you need to come up with a plan and do research before you even start to make sure that you are even going to have a profitable endeavor.

Have a Strong Stomach.

Lots of people lose money because they don't have a strong stomach. If I had to choose between my brain and stomach I would go with the latter. It's not easy buying something that will make you money for at least six months, but if you can brave the storm until then, it will be well worth it.

Don't Give Up

There are so many people who will give up if they don't see a profit within minutes of doing something. All good things come to those who wait. Some people are just impatient and want instant gratification. Think about it, if everybody could make money instantly why aren't they doing it? It's a good thing that you can't make money instantly because then you can't become rich because the market is over saturated. Just like Tip number two, you are in this for the long haul.

Spend the Money When it is Needed

If you cheap out then you might as well throw that money away. Nice things have big price tags because they are worth it. Would you spend $100 on an Xbox 360 knockoff that didn't play games? No, because it just cost you $100 and now you have nothing. The same thing goes for business. Bite the bullet and you will be happy in the end.

Always Open up to New Ideas

There is always a better way to do things so constantly test out new ideas. I'm not saying you have to switch gears and go totally in the opposite direction, but set aside some money every month to test out new ideas because it may only cost you $1000 a month to figure out how to make $10,000 a month and that is definitely worth it.
