Digital color printing can be best exhibited either on a white T-shirt or any other colored T-shirt. The technology which you generally use for printing in a T-shirt is inkjet or color laser printer or a dye sublimation printer. The method used to print T-shirts is a specific one.  Instead of directly printing on to the T shirt the print is first taken on a transfer paper. This is a special type of paper with a special coating on which the ink adheres but does not permeate the surface due to a special coating. The printout forms a thin layer. Once printed, the paper is put face down, i.e. with the image surface in contact with the T shirt. The sandwich is transferred to a heat press. With heat and pressure the image layer is transferred to the T shirt where the fabric fibers are permeated with the print ink. Generally two types of coating paper are used in this technology. They are the ones for the white colored or any light colored T-shirt and the other is for the dark colored ones.

But the quality of the T-shirt print enhances if you use digital color printing. In this mode of printing commercial heat press is used to produce a better quality print. The blend of technology and the creative minds of the designer produce a T-shirt which is extremely catchy for the eyes of an onlooker. But at the same time it should not be forgotten that such technology has both benefits as well as disadvantages.

The first advantage in these kinds of T-shirts is that if you want a unique variety you can get such a piece using this technology. Whenever you need such a kind of T-shirt you can give it for printing. Hence it can be said the technology is readily available as well. As far as colors are concerned you have a plethora of choice as the technology generally uses color laser or an inkjet printer. Thus it can be said that digital color printing is able to use gradients as well as photos without much of difficulty.

Another advantage with this technology is that you do not need an additional preparation to implement this technology. The greatest benefit of this kind of T-shirt printing is that you can get your personal choices reflected on them. You can get the printings depending on the person who will be using them. Also if you have a team you can get the logo printed on them.

But as said the technology is not free of any kind of disadvantage. The greatest problem is that it does not have white color in it. Hence if you want to paint the flag of Canada on a light blue T-shirt it will have a red and light blue color effect instead of red and white. There are workarounds to this and it is possible to get white on colored T shirts at a slightly higher cost. But still it is better if you use digital color printing for a T-shirt because that gives you maximum value for money and a unique customized print.
